Ring Savings ProgramThe Official Baylor Ring Savings Program is an exciting new program that allows you to put aside $75 per semester
toward the purchase of your Baylor ring. At this time, only first-year students (freshmen) are eligible for the program.
A $75 ring savings charge will appear on the first bill of each fall and spring semester. After six semesters (and the completion of 75 hours toward your degree), you will have $450 saved toward any ring offered under the Baylor Ring Program. Funds held by Baylor under this program will not earn interest.
Official Baylor Ring Savings Program FAQs
Is participation in the Official Baylor Ring Savings Program mandatory?
No, but it is incumbent upon the student to "opt out" of the program.
Can I request a refund if I later decide I don't want to participate?
Yes, you will have the opportunity to "opt out" in Bearweb before the 12th class day of your first semester at Baylor. If you choose to "opt out" after that day, please contact the Baylor Alumni Association, and your preference will be updated manually. A refund of any money in your ring savings account will be credited to your student account.
How much does the Official Baylor Ring cost?
The actual price of the ring will depend on a number of different factors, including the price of gold at the time you order the ring. The Ring Savings Program is designed to allow each participant to set aside $450 toward the purchase of any Baylor ring offered under the program. Funds held in a ring savings account will not earn interest.
What if I'm not sure if I'll graduate from Baylor?
If you do not obtain eligibility to order a ring, funds collected in your ring savings account will be refunded to your student account upon final settlement with the university.
When will I be able to acquire the ring?
Ring Savings Program participants will be notified after enrolling in their 75th semester hour and will be given instructions for where and when to place their ring order.
Will the rings be presented in a ceremony?
Yes, Baylor Rings are presented during Official Ring Ceremonies. While attendance is not mandatory, we highly recommend that you and your family take part in this meaningful tradition.
