BAA News
Having a Fling by Sarah Gadsby
During the twenty-fifth anniversary celebration of Fling, Baylor women were inspired by the vocal talents of current student Keron Jackson, the book review of Same Kind of Different as Me, and the speech from Jeanie Ball Miley '67 titled "Your One Life: Wild and Precious." Oh, and the ladies also had a lot of fun! Click here for a photo gallery of all the events: "Having a Fling"
Board Summary by Judy Prather
The board of the Baylor Alumni Association met on May 3 to discuss the association's move to operational independence. With membership at an all-time high, the alumni association is projecting another record-setting membership year. But in other ways, it has been a year of changes for the association. To learn what the BAA Board of Directors heard at their May meeting, go to "Board Summary."
Around the QuadHippity Hop by Ben Jones

Baylor students are known for finding creative ways to raise money for a good cause. When one group of mission-minded students sponsored a hip-hop dance class, we sent a student worker, Ben Jones, to cover the action. And as you can see, he had a great time!

Fort Worth Star
"I'm just a turtle on a fence post," declared Roland Johnson '73, BSEd '76, JD '79, about his recent selection as president-elect of the State Bar of Texas. "When you see a turtle on a fence post you say, 'That's crazy! How did that happen?' And the reason it's crazy is because it's been fifty years since someone from Fort Worth won." Johnson is a managing shareholder with the Fort Worth firm of Harris, Finley, & Bogle, PC. He will take over as president of the State Bar next June.
